Warning: Playing MW3 before Release Date Could Impact Your Xbox Live Account

Scheduled for release on 11.8.11, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 promises to be the best selling console game this year, if not of all time. As a result of some of this excitement, a lot of gamers have been trying everything possible to get their hands on a copy before the scheduled release date. Some copies have even appeared on Ebay for as much as $1,700. Well word has officially come from Xbox Live’s Stephen Toulouse that doing so “may impact your account!” While the specific details of this “impact” were not disclosed, I think we can safely say that gamers run the risk of having their Xbox Live accounts banned.

Why Companies like Infinity Ward Charge for Map Packs and DLC.

One of the things I frequently hear on this blog is that gamers are tired of getting ripped off by game companies.  They feel that companies like Infinity Ward are being  just plain greedy by selling a new game for $60, only to release additional map packs and downloadable content (DLC) a couple of months, if not weeks, after a game’s release.  Since I am gamer just like you, I completely understand where this outrage is coming from.  However, there are some major developments in the gaming community that you need to be aware off that is largely responsible for some of these changes.
