Well it turns out that the recent trailer released on the website site findmakarov.com is a hoax after all. In a press release issued by the folks at Activision, they stated the following:
“There seems to be a great deal of speculation about the next Call of Duty project. Let me be clear that we are not revealing [anything] yet. Anything indicating otherwise is a hoax.“
So it looks like we all have to wait a little bit longer before we receive official word that the game is truly under development. Fortunately, however, my industry contacts have indeed confirmed that the third installment in the series is slatted for release. Exactly when and how the story will evolve, remains the million dollar question.
